"Doc Prep" is the process of preparing documentation for imaging. Time-consuming tasks such sorting, batching and other manual intervention such as removing staples can account for upwards of 40 percent of the total labor time. Documents that are crumpled, torn, or folded present special challenges, as do “odd”-size documents such as memos,” sticky” notes, folders and envelopes. If documents are not first properly prepared, they can damage equipment and/or negatively affect the overall quality of the images being processed. Following strict internal guidelines, we are able to streamline this process giving our clients the quality that they demand and the efficiency they deserve.

All prepped documents become traceable to a preparation log, ensuring document collation and integrity.
Staple/Paperclip Removal
One of the biggest setbacks in document scanning is the scanner’s discovery of attached pages. Scanner downtime is highly frowned upon in an ongoing scanning project, and since it is crucial that each page is scanned individually, staple and paperclip removal is highly essential in document preparation.
